7. James Phillips of Blaentrafle (John),
was probably born in Dyffryn Broidyn, Llanboidy, Carmarthenshire, Wales. He died on 4 Jul 1859. He was buried at stone 28 in RhydyParc, Eglwys Fair a Churig, Carmarthenshire, Wales.
James, married (1) Phebe Howell, daughter of Rees Howell of Caerlleon and Bariah Howell of Rhydoch, on 26 Mar 1793 in the Llanwinio Parish Church, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Phebe was born in 1772. She died in 1820 at the age of 48. She was buried in Llanwinio Parish Church, Carmarthenshire, Wales, with her sister Mary and daughter Anne.

Rees Phillips was born about 1799. He died on 12 Nov 1883, at the age of 84.
Elizabeth Phillips was born about 1802. She died on 8 Oct 1873.
James, married (2) Mary James. Mary was born about 1775. She died on 20 Aug 1848, at the age of 73. She was buried at stone 28 in RhydyParc, Eglwys Fair a Churig, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Her husband James Phillips was later buried at the same stone.
