NEWS!I had discovered Cwmfelin Mynach, Wales as the residence and burial place of Mary and Jacob Picton. Later I found that the birth records of Mary Lewis, wife of Jacob Picton, and her siblings had been microfilmed by the LDS Family History Library. This record gave the father's name as "Thomas Lewis", the mother's name as "Mary", and their residence when each of the children was born. Mary (Lewis) Picton's brother Levi Lewis was later living on the farm where Mary had been born.
SPECIAL THANKS TO: Nancy Evans of Cwmfelin Mynach Wales who told her caller J.P.O. Bushnell about my interest in Picton and Lewis family history, J.P.O. Bushnell who wrote informative letters that confirmed that the Lewis family in Ramoth Chapel, Cwmfelin Mynach, Wales records was the correct. His own personal knowledge and a copy of the will of Mary (Lewis) Picton's brother Levi Lewis, who left the free hold of the farm Esssgairddeugoed, the same one where sister Mary was born, to his wife Henrietta Jane Bushnell.
QUESTIONS: When and where were Thomas and Mary Lewis, whose first home was Weinberri (now Weirnberni),Llanwinio, Wales, married? Where did the rest of Mary Lewis's siblings live? Did any of Mary Lewis's family immigrate to the US?
